Like the right to not be subject to unreasonable searches and seizures?

Or the right to peacefully assemble (You all really should look into some protest footage, notably the portland orgeon protest.)

Our right to privacy, emails, phone calls, library and financial records are no longer safe. They can search your house without telling you, they can apparently wire tap you without a warrant and search your library and bank records with out a reason even.

They can detain us with out telling us why, and for an indefinite amount of time. Which is wrong. period.

5 years of patriot act in action, and all they have done with it is spy on us, and unraveled a supposed plot to blow up a building by a group of idiots.

Litrally, all they had is someone mentioned something about blowing up a building according to a witness. No guns, No plans, No explosives, no evidence what so ever.

Congratulations america! You are officially become Nazi Germany.

Did you all not know that the people of Germany LOVED Hitler? It wasn't until he had all the power that he let his true nature come out. But there were signs. But people are either too scared or too retarded to listen.

He burnt down the Reich stag (sp?) as a terrorist attack, blamed it on an extremist group and enacted even more laws that gave him power over the people.

Sound familiar?

Because America's government *tries* to get the best out of people, and to help people lead longer more productive lives. That's why law enforcement make life miserable to so many by limiting the amount of fun but dangerous activities we enjoy. Like Drunk Driving, Whoring, Speeding and going through a Red Light when no one is watching.

Law enforcement can't decide which laws to enforce. If congress or the senate pass a law, no matter how stupid or unconstitutional, then law enforcement has to enforce it. Don't blame the cops. Most cops are too stupid to actually think for themselves. They are just doing what they are told. Kinda like Adolph Eichmann during WW2

police get ****** all the time. suppressing human rights? bullshit and like what. yeah there are some dirty cops out there but for the most part they are guys trying to do a tough job, and taking **** from all areas. They have no right to do a god damn thing. guys on my dept have been charged with attempted murder when they were attacked by assailants armed with knives and automatic pistols. One cop was wounded in the chest and is still recovering. Because he fired his sig and wounded one "suspect" he is now facing legal action for defending himself. This is bullshit. Don't hit up the cops for doing their jobs, we put our asses on the line every day, both literally (facing dangerous criminals and fanatics) and figuratively (facing the press and courts) to protect people like YOU and to protect your human rights. If you don't like it, and feel you're being violated try living in Lebanon, Syria, Turkey or even Ireland. The difference between human "rights" and human "privedges".

They aren't. They are bound by the Constitution. Perhaps if you were to give some examples instead of just blanket statements you might get a decent answer.

Rodney King would agree with you. I would say that a lot of it comes out of fear. Just look at the Patriot act. People are afraid. Police are afraid too, and they put themselves in harm's way every day.

it's not law enforcement, it's the legal system itself.
