Go to the dentist. You probably need a good cleaning and he can whiten your teeth better than over the counter products.

I just recently started using Crest White Strips, they are a little costly (about $40 per box) but definitely worth it, after 3 days of using them I noticed a difference. Just make sure your teeth aren't too sensitive for them, if you have problems with your gums or anything - it can burn. Well good luck =)

Crest Whitestrips seem to be the best over the counter solution but the trays you can get from a dentist work better. Some dentists offer this free for new patients.

A good at home remedy is to make a paste of baking soda & water & brush with that. You can also use peroxide. But be careful with the peroxide, it's strong & can damage you gums if left on too long. Be sure to spit it all out & don't swallow any. If you'll look at the ingredients list of any of the otc whiteners you'll see peroxide listed.

If you go to the dentist and have your teeth cleaned by a hygienist then they should be able to clean off some of the decay... then you can get whitening trays through the doc that will lighten them up!!

Very proud of you, ex-smoker!
1. Try brushing everyday, 3 times.
2. Certain brands of gum!
3. Eat healthy foods--- no coffee, soda, junk!
*** Don't try those stupid Crestwhite strips, they make me gag everytime.

Good luck
