Absolutely!
Ironicly, science is indirectly proving that some people were not prophets at all, but rather FALSE prophets. One particular religion, founded by a false prophet, borrows scientific beliefs from the Greeks as a way to appear "scholarly". These ancient PLAGIARISED scientific beliefs appear in the false prophet's "holy" book, and many have been shown to be erroneous by modern science.
The followers of this religion INSIST everything in their "holy" book comes directly from God, and contains NO errors. Entire websites have been dedicated to enumerating and analyzing the errors that exist in this so-called "holy" book. Maybe when they have the courage to pull their heads out of their butts, and look at the SCIENTIFIC FACTS, they'll admit their religion isn't as perfect as they claim. Until that day, they'll refute evolution, plate tectonics, recent discoveries regarding embyonic development, cosmology, etc... unless they can think of a clever loophole to explain the error(s).
The worst part about it, is that all science that appears to agree with their holy book is regarded as a "miraculous revelation", while everything that doesn't is blatantly refuted with convoluded, illogical, and even dishonest arguments.
Science (the truth) will set you free!
Peace.

No, don't believe science is anything but a discipline studying the material world. Has nothing to do with the surreal, ethereal, or spiritual.

science has nothing to do with religion. They are incompatible. Science strives for proof and hard fact, but religion is purely based on faith and belief

science proves material facts. religion requires faith... but, when uncle albert scrawled E=Mc2, the math was taken on faith as we had no way of proving it... until the first test at white sands nevada. my religion is based on mathematics...
and god exists, its just not the same god as the catholic church would have us believe it is.

Nah, most religion relies on blind belief, rather than proof.
Whereas science is based on proof.
Proof denies faith,
without faith, religion is nothing.
