Put back the 2 bolts, and spray oil on the big nut, tap it a couple of times, then unscrew the big nut I think its a 1and 1/16 wrench, then remove the 2 screws.

Im not sure which motor you have but,There should be 2 bolts holding it on as well as the tube from the exhaust. If this is the big bolt yoy are refering to , then tighten the two main bolts then break the tube nut loose first then remove the two bolts. The tube can be hard to loosen but it should come right off. If you are replacing the egr due to a code then I would recommend looking at the DPFE sensor, they are bad to go out and show a code for the egr flow. Just a thought.

The EGR valve is secured by only two bolts. What you are experiencing is that the EGR valve had deposits build up, also the gasket it self has "glued" itself to the parts. It needs to be tapped on to come loose.

you should see a big metal line going to the EGR, you need to take the fitting loose from it. Then it should come out.

the 2 hold down bolts is what you removed. the big bolt you're referring is removable, it will be extremely hard to remove, you might want to use lots of penetrating oil, as it's probably rusted on.
