I'm taking my dog to the vet tomorrow, but I just want to see if anyone can help me figure out what's wrong. I have a 1 yr. old Shitzu and she has not been eating well for like 2 days. I changed her food to another brand and she loved it the first day, then threw up the next. The vomit was green liquid! She didn't eat well for another day and no vomit. Today I fed her lunch, not the same food, and she just threw up all the meat she ate in the same green liquid. She's definetly going to the vet tomorrow, but what do you guys think he'll say? Is it a normal stomach problem or what?

Sounds like the food may have upset her tummy. She could also have a small stomach virus. Try giving her some liquid pepto (2 1/2 cc per 20 lbs). This will coat her stomach and help with the vomiting until you can get her to the vet. Also, don't feed her tonight...let her tummy rest. Let her have only small amounts of water for the night. Too much water will make her vomit. Good Luck!

With many dogs, if you change their food suddenly it will cause upset stomach. The best thing to do is switch foods slowly, by mixing the old and the new over a week. I would put her back on her old food for a few days and once her stomach settles, start to transition her to the new (start with 3/4 old, 1/4 new, and change the proportions every couple of days until she is on the new stuff). If it still upsets her stomach, then she probably has a problem with the new food, so you could try something else. Green liquid is probably just stomach fluids.

Switching a dogs food like that can upset the digestive system on a dog - Whenever you feel a need to change foods, you should either fast your dog for 24 hours before feeding the "new" food, or mix the new in with the old gradually so your dog can become accustomed to it.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes at the vet

You have to change a dog's food gradually over a week or so. If not, you get green vomit.
I'm pretty sure the dog is fine. You need to switch back to the old food and add a small amount of the new food at each meal. Each meal she takes and doesn't barf up, add a little more new food and a little less old food. Like I said give it a week unless she barfs again, then introduce the new food more slowly.

If she is vomiting up green (stomach acid) right after eating it could be that she has a foreign object lodged in her stomach.
It definitely doesn't sound like parvo, especially if she is up to date on vaccines.
You mentioned she is drinking a lot of water. Is your dog spayed? If not pyometra (infected uterus) could be an issue.
Lastly, she could have pancreatitis, which can be more common in small breed dogs.
I would get her to a vet today if at all possible, as any of the 3 things I mentioned as possibilities can be very dangerous the longer you wait.

Sounds like something blocking the stomach. My Dobie ate a rope chew toy(i didnt know at the time) and threw up just like that for 2 days, wouldn't eat, was very lathargic and just not him normal self, eventually got dehydrated and was shivering violently. We took him to the vet for (very very expensive) EMERGENCY SURGERY. The rope chew toy got intwined in his insides, poor guy. We had just adopted him about 4 months before hand and I wanted him to know that he had a good home and we were goign to take care of him. Needless to say we don't have ANY more dog toys in the house, only big, real bones. Once we got him back home, he was back to his silly self and I couldn't be happier. A lot of our friends thought we were nuts to spend that kind of money on a pet and told us that they would have "put him down", but I tell them this, we adopted that dog, took him into our lives. He is another child, a part of the family, you wouldn't put your child down just because the surgery is expensive, you do what you have to do. You took the responsibility of caring for that animal, you better do so!!

uncooked feeding isn't for each dogs, did you have him on kibble/canned earlier? i'm sorry he's so itchy, is the medicine no longer working? i think of you like a 2d opinion. i'd propose taking copies of assessments, and so on., and take your dogs to a doggie dermatologist. in case you have a vet scientific college interior reach which would be much extra effective. i think they'd be extra effective qualified to assist your dogs. I choose you and your doggie the perfect i'm hoping you would be able to discover a vet to assist him.

If you want a nice dinner to give her that wont upset her stomach, give her some rice with chicken broth, and you can even mixed in some BOILED chicken. Don't back the chicken or anything, just boil it and cut it into small pieces. It always works when my dogs are sick.

you never change a dogs food from one to the other. unless you do it slowly. a little mixed in with the old. boil some white chicken meat. and give it white bread. if he gets sick off of that something is wrong.

This does not sound normal at all. I think you should call the vet's office now and tell them what you have told us. See if they think you should bring her in sooner. Has any of her food stayed down at all? Is she drinking any water?
