I love anal sex with my BF and I have looked on the internet a little my question is, is it really safe? I mean will it do damage even if you have you know lub and the whole nine yards? Is it a bad thing to do to the muscles?

According to that sex talk chick from Canada it can be bad. The whole butt thing isn't my cup of tea anyway, but if you enjoy it go ahead. Might want to make sure you give your self proper healing times between though.

Your question would be best answered by a physician. The sphincter muscles are predominately used for excreting, so I am not sure if it's a good idea to use them in a reverse. I am aware that the tissue around the anus is very fragile and prone to tearing. This can lead to infections! It has always been speculated that anal sex is what caused the advancement of AIDS...just a theory I've heard over the years, not sure how factual that is. However, I would recommend seeing the family doctor regarding your particular sexual pleasure.

Good luck, have fun, and be safe!

This is a question that is sure to bring all of the myths and prejudices out of the woodwork. Keep in mind that for many people the idea of anal sex is immoral and unnatural. For others, it is simply dirty and unappealing.

Even for people who don't have automatic objections to anal sex the negative stereotype is often reinforced by women who try anal sex and don't like it or who only do it to try to please their partner. However, none of this really describes anal sex.

People vary. Some men and some women enjoy anal stimulation of some kind. Others, don't like the sensations at all and for the rest the sensations are neither pleasant nor unpleasant. The worse situation is when a man wants to do anal sex and his partner either doesn't enjoy it or doesn't like the idea. Given that the anal sphincter is normally closed it takes some patience to allow unforced penetration. And, the anus has no natural lubrication. If the man is impatient this is bad and if his partner is nervous this is worse still. I suppose this situation could arise in reverse if you had an agressive woman who wanted to do her boyfriend with a strapon and her boyfriend didn't enjoy anal stimulation but primarily it is the men who are impatient and the women who are forced.

As long as you enjoy anal stimulation, you use lubrication, penetrate slowly, and it doesn't hurt there shouldn't be a problem. The horror stories about having loose anal sphincters are not caused by anal sex in general. They are caused by (typically men) who want to penetrated forcefully. This does not give the sphincter muscles time to relax and this can cause pulling and tearing just as can happen with other muscles. Likewise there are those who seem to keep moving to larger and larger butt plugs and dildos to use anally. I've seen anal plugs as thick as a pop can. It shouldn't be any surprise that using something this size can cause looseness. The same thing applies to being anally fisted. This is not the same as being vaginally fisted as the vaginal canal has to be large enough to accomodate the 4" width of a baby's head.

You can dismiss the silly rumors and stories about anal sex. HIV was initially transmitted by regular sex in Africa, not anal sex. This prejudice arose only because the first known cases in the US were among gay men. The inside of the anus is not slow to heal or fragile. In fact, mucous membrane heals much faster than ordinary skin tissue. The rectal muscles are used to push out feces, not the sphincter muscles. Kegels have nothing to do with strengthening the anal muscles. Anal sex does not cause hemhoroids but can inflame them if you already have them.

The main difficulty is that the sphincter muscles are normally closed and need to relax to allow unforced penetration. Sometimes this doesn't work as easily just be attempting to push the penis in. It seems to work best with my girlfriend (who like this) for me to stretch her first with two fingers and then start in and withdraw my fingers as I push in further.

So, the bottom line is that anal sex will not tend to cause any unusual problem unless you specifically seek pain or extreme stretching. Obviously, use lubrication and note any sign of blood when you clean up. Bleeding would indicate that either you are not using enough lubrication or it is too forceful.

No it will damage anything as long as he doesn't hurt U. But since U R using alot of lube U should be fine, Ur sphincter muscles will loosen in time but not much.....
If U R worried about them loosening too much, exercise Ur PC muscles daily about 300-400 times a day, they are very easy to do, U can do them anywhere and it doesn't take anytime to do that many...

Good Luck & Good Question

If you love it, it's not wrong. You would definitely know if you were you were damaging something back there! It certainly can be unsafe if you're not gentle... Don't force it... use lube, and take it nice and easy - you know what you like! When your muscles are relaxed enough for you to enjoy it, you're not doing anything bad to them at all. In fact, you're giving them a workout!

Actuallly oit is dangerous is can cause a loss of control in the bowel muscles meaning you won't be able to hold your #2 and it can cause internal damages as well so my advice is if you have to do it sparingly and otherwise be careful Good Luck ;)
