FAT32 doesn't support file/folder level security.

Like the previous post says, that's not supported in FAT32. To get that, you would need to convert the file system to NTFS or to purchase 3rd-party software to add that type of security in FAT32.

you can't in fat32, only in ntfs, unless you can find a 3rd party product..which I wouldn't bother with.
but, you can set permissions for shared folders when using networking. maybe that's what you mean? if so, that's in the properties tab for the folder, after you share it you can pick users.
if you are using win2k or xp and don't have dual boot with win9x on the same partition, then you can convert your drive to ntfs from commned prompt, "convert drive: /FS:NTFS".
I would upgrade to win2k at the very least.

You cannot set user rights in FAT32 you MUST use NTFS for this. You can set rights on the share (permissions) but that's it.

You can convert by using that command at the DOS prompt.
convert /fs:ntfs is the command
