I'm a 55 year old man and I could ask the same question. I've been let down twice by grasping women who only wanted money. I doubt I'll ever take on a "romance" ever again. It might be better to just take what comes enjoy people but don't necessarily get emotionally involved with them.

I would make sure I didn't sit at home worrying about it.
I'd go out into my town and join groups where I'd possibly meet other people who enjoy doing what I like to do: learn to dance/painting/exercise.
Attend little theater productions; go to museums, concerts, art galleries. Go where you may find other people with your interests.
Don't obsess about it. It may or not happen. Just don't be solitary and feel sorry for yourself.
Try to be the "best" you that you can in terms of personality, looks, interest in others, sense of humor. By bringing yourself up to the highest standard you can set for yourself, you will be more likely to attract people of the same caliber.
Hope this helps a little! (I am in your age group, married with kids, and can empathize with you!).Oh, and have you spoken to any friends who might be able to introduce you to anybody, or to co-workers who may know somebody suitable for you??

your soul mate will just find you. or to put it in better words, you will find eachother, when the time is right. i know that doesn't help much as to what you are feeling, which i can tell from what you asked, but as far as it goes with soulmates, you'll find eachother. for now just have fun, your age doesn't matter.

Well...you can start on a singles site. There are two good free ones that I know of and I have met some really nice people there. matchdoctor.com is one and plentyoffish.com is another. Good luck
