When I put my lunch in a microwave and took it out a few minutes later, my lunch was a bit warmer. According to a fundamentalists's logic, God must have heated my lunch up, right?

ellieannah, the definition of a theory is: A set of statements or principles devised to explain a group of facts or phenomena, especially one that has been repeatedly tested and can be used to make predictions about natural phenomena.
Not "guess".

Fundamentalists don't think science is stupid, we think it's useful but most do tend to think the idea that men evolved from apes and birds from lizards is stupid because there is no evidence to back that theory up yet people believe its "fact" Fossil records do show changes in animals, plants, insects etc... but never 1 animal changing into an entirely different animal like a lizard to a bird.
Aside from a few little sects, Fundamentalists use science every day and also take it in school like the rest of you. But we know theories will change and the text books will be re-written and things thought to be fact today will be shown false tomorrow. So, we just dont put as much faith in science as atheists do.

We don't think that "science" is stupid. There is a lot of good science in the world and it is very helpful.
Obviously what happened was that the Hydrogen-bonds of the water molecules in the sandwich were rotated and excited through the microwave energy that was sent through the sandwich, thus releasing the ambient heat from within those bonds. Since that heat that is released is below 212 deg F (at sea level) then that is why your sandwich only got warm and did not brown. It also did not dry out, but instead excited the water to spread throughout the sandwich in liquid form more evenly, thus making your sandwich soft and slightly soggy instead of crunchy and slightly dry.
Isn't it cool that God allows us to use microwave ovens?

Religion and your little tidbit lunch are not related. Try the food category!
In the meantime, God created you, the person who invented the microwave, the food that you put into that microwave and the boss that you report back to after lunch.

They don't mind technology like a microwave or a PA system for the mega church. They are just reluctant to understand the life science. Have you noticed that of the "experts" they pull out a good portion of them are engineers?
I admit to being totally puzzled by a person with a computer, a refrigerator, a digital watch, who believes in a literal interpretation o Genesis. I simply don't know how to help such a person

This fundamentalist was trained in Nuclear Power and understands how the microwave works very well. God gave you and me the brains to understand the universe he created. I hope you will start seeing Gods wonders for what they are one day. BTW you never mentioned if you turned the microwave on so I guess it MUST have been God who heated it because the microwave can't do it unless it is turned on. :)

Just as much as scientific retards believe the food evolved to a greater degree of heat for purposes of natural selection.
I don't think science is dumb. I just think people are dumb for making science to be something it's not. They use it to try to push their own agendas.
Such as you are. Enjoy your warm lunch and the air you get to breathe that came from somewhere...

No one thinks science is stupid.
I merely think a theory is a theory until proved. There are lots of theories out there, are you so childish you take them as fact, simply because they are popular?

evolutionary kind. Aw, go eat your lunch, and try NOT to choke
