Can anyone recommend good place to buy hardwood online? We are looking for some exotic verities like brazilian Cherry, Walnut , Amendoim.
We live in N. CA and need close to 1500Sft.

Have you checked ALL the lumber yards in your area?
The cost of shipping something as heavy lumber sounds astronomical.

homedepot.com. If you order the hardwood flooring, especially exotic hard woods you can order it from most home centers. The nice thing about ordering it from a home center is that you can pick it up at the store instead of having to pay shipping charges from where ever the product gets shipped from. The home centers get the materials from the same suppliers that floor covering stores do. Many suppliers are actually getting their stock by ordering it through the Home centers now too. they have laminate and hardwood. Great prices, but they are in Canada so there is a kinda large shipping charge but I still found it to be cheaper than the big box stores Lowes and Home Depot and the stuff they are selling is better quality, longer warranties.
