you can be 16 years of age with a parents signature but marriage is not all that great in some cases 9 times out of 10 it only last a year.. lots of bills even kids are a handfull at that age but if you are 18 you can do it on your own . but if i were you i would wait tile you are graduated and responsable with your life. money.and know how to mangage a job .. not all people are in love as much as they say that are or think they are after you are together for so long and you actually get to know the real person you are with. you then will have a different opinion on marriage at a young age so my answer to you is wait til the time is right and make sure that the person you are with is ready to make a equal commitment .. marriage is a big commitment to make at a yourng age..alway remember a marriage is not easy thing to work out. it takes patience, time, and both of you to make it work not just one.

The youngest age to get married is the one

- when you already know how to live by yourself in a clean, organized house or apt,

- when you know how to pay your bills on time

- when you know the difference between hooking up and dating seriously

- when you know the difference between love and lust

- when you have ideally seriously dated one or two guys for a period of more than 1 year each

- when you have an education, career or stable trade

- when it's been a few years since you stopped having a voice in your head telling you "hmmm, I wonder what else is out there."

It is then when you know have arrived to the minimum age to get married.

Eighteen is legal age. Anything under that there are different requirements for different counties. Check with your County Clerk for the application & details. No state will allow anyone under the age of 16 to marry, even with parental consent.

When I was little my mom promised to give me $1,000 if I waited until 25 to get married. Back then $1,000 seemed like a lot more. I got married at 24. I was with my husband 5 1/2 years before we got married. My mom gave me a lot more than $1,000 to help with the wedding. Please wait until you've known that person at least 2 years.

It depends on the state. My sister ran away to Idaho to get married at age 16 without her parents consent. That marriage failed (big surprise huh?) I married my bride in the state of Oregon when she was 17 (with her parents consent). That was 17 years ago and we are still going strong.

in some states you can be 16 to get married if your parents consent to the marraige....but i think you would have to be pretty stupid to get married at 16. when your that young you dont know how to take care of yourself, your still a kid. people should wait to get married till there about 25 even if it's legal to do it at 18, but that's just my opinion.

yes 18 if younger parents will have to sign papers for you.
If you or anyone you know wants to be married young I would say don't do it, live first marry later, I was 19 when I got married and I missed out on having an independent life first.
