Why not try camping, there are some lovely sites around Yorkshire and you can get site info from the library, in fact if you can borrow a tent, or rent a pitched tent you can decide if you like it then maybe buy your own for future hols, you'll not regret it.

Ever been to Maine? If not, tons of places to explore at a reasonable price. check out the web site for Maine. There are many hobbies for everyone like hiking trails, animal farms, camping areas with swimming, tennis all that. check out the web site you just might find something affordable. Maine is a beautiful state to visit.

try the daily papers, know someone just been to haven site up there 4 quid a night camping, has to be worth a look!

you'll be lucky if you find anything on a bank holiday weekend. if you do it'll be expensive coz its in the school holidays and a bank holiday weekend. good luck tho i'd love to go away.
