wow...and here we thought some of the present day serial killers were bad...

According to 2 Chron. 30:16 Moses was the Man of God; yet, he...

* murdered an Egyptian (Ex. 2:12),
* ordered an armed attack (Num. 31:3, 6),
* ordered the murder of prisoners (Num. 31:17),
* ordered the keeping of young female prisoners for several reasons (Num. 31:17),
* led mass killings of women and children (Deut. 2:34, 3:3, 6),
* ordered killings (Deut. 13:15, 20:13),
* blasphemously wrote he was a greater prophet than Jesus (Deut. 34:10 NASB),
* had a son out of wedlock (Ex. 2:21-22),
* and was excluded by God from Canaan for four different reasons:
unbelief (Num 20:12),
rebellion (Num. 27:12-14 RSV),
trespassing (Deut. 13:51-52),
and rash words (Psalm 106:32-33 NIV).

Thankfully they caught the guy...so why is he reverred in the Christian church?

Moses(pbuh) lived about 1500BC.There was no concept of christianity.Nor any concept of a man named Jesus.Nor was there a such thing as a jew.Jews were the people that lived in jerusalem. That is why they were called jews.Like how we are called americans.Jews were the children of Jacob(pbuh) that were led out of egypt.Musa is true.People don't believe the things he did or did not do(because he did not do any of it.his GOD did it all for him) happened. Are you that much greater or even better than him? What is the thought process of most?If moses(pbuh) was a disbeliever then why did THE GOD talk with him directly with no intecesors or partners? Why did THE GOD take him as an intimate friend? To my belief, he was truly jehovas witness. And there was only two. That was Moses(pbuh) and his brother Aaron(pbuh). If you don't believe in him, then why in the great land of Jordan is the burial chambers of Aaron(pbuh) existant on top of a mount.Even the great pyramids of Egypt stand to this day.But what happened to the Egyptions? You should read about a man named Khidr(the green man).He was actualt a man that the lord GOD of Israel told to learn from. Before he got his prophethood complete.Because Khidr was the most knowledgeable on the planet.

blasphemously wrote he was a greater prophet than Jesus (Deut. 34:10 NASB): Are you sure? Jesus didn't come along for quite some time. How could Moses even know about him?

Besides, it says great "Prophet"....Jesus...when He came much later....was not just a prophet, but the WORD of God made flesh.

Another trouble maker, I see.

Moses didn't write he was a greater prophet than Jesus,... Jesus hadnt even come yet.. I know Moses didn't say he was a greater Prophet than God which would then be blaspheme. Murder is killing without just cause... God commanded these things so Im sure He saw good reason. God isn't subject to man's laws or opinions.

He wrote that he was a prophet greater than Jesus, huh? Actually, what the bible actually said was: "10. Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face", and it was stated many years after the death of Moses, so Moses didn't even say it. I'm sure you're knowledgeable enough to realize that Moses came many generations before Jesus, but then, if you did know that, why would you twist the words to try to make it sound like something it wasn't?

When trying to rationalize us out of our faith, in the future, use enough common sense to get your facts straight first.

Moses was a murderer, among other things, but God knew that Moses could get the job done, therefore, God chose him to do His work. Moses confessed of his sins, obeyed God and, as God knew he would, completed the mission God set before him.

You should have kept reading : he died, was resurrected, and taken to heaven; he (along with Elijah) comforted Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration; the redeemend will sing the song of Moses and the Lamb.

quran surah baqarah 2:30-31
Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not."

And He taught Adam the nature of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: "Tell me the nature of these if ye are right."

names here refer to the names of all the prophets that were about to come in this earth

2:32-34
They said: "Glory to Thee, of knowledge We have none, save what Thou Hast taught us: In truth it is Thou Who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom."

He said: "O Adam! Tell them their natures." When he had told them, God said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what ye reveal and what ye conceal?"

And behold, We said to the angels: "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: He was of those who reject Faith.
