Well you can never stop the craveings . I'm also trying to lose weight. But what really helps me is that I eat in apple. It's heathy and it's sweet. If you like sweets eat alot of fruit. And about the junk food part . It's ok to have a little bit sometimes. But not all the times. I'm going to give you what works for me . If I eat junk food . I eat a little bit . Then I run around my block a couple of times. In onder to lose weight you have to eat right and excerise alot. And most of all drink alot of water.

I know it's hard but try not to eat any of those sugary foods for 3 days and you'll eventually kick the craving. Every time you have a craving for something sweet, eat something sour like a lemon, pickle or grapefruit and drink a big glass of water. After you've kicked the habit of craving sweets then you can slowly introduce healthy desserts back into your diet such as a fudge popsicle that has no fat or no sugar. They're delicious and won't ruin your diet. Good luck!

Throw out all the candy out of your house!!! no questions asked. (or give it someone else) Just eat healthier foods and pick better choices. A theory says that it takes like 21 days to drop a bad habit and pick up a good one. So drop out your sugar crave and surround your environment with healthier snacks... this way, when you get a little hungry, you'll be reaching for a yogurt or fruit instead of a bag of candy. This way, you won't tempt yourself. When you find yourself successful, you can treat yourself, but just don't go overboard again. Good Luck!

Quiting sweets is hard. I have had the same problem and I find that you can not eliminate them completely. Try to keep a lot veggies and fruits on hand to snack on during the day. I keep a bag full of raisins and granola in my desk to stop the cravings. Other then that everyonce in awhile I will grab one piece of chocolate like a hershey's kiss or something and I find just a little taste satisfies me.

When you get a craving for someting sweet, eat fruit. Pick one that has just enough sweet to it to cure your craving. Salty...eat some almonds, pecans, cashews, peanuts, or whatever kind of nut you like. This way you are eating a lot healthier and you don't have to worry about gaining weight while curing the "sweet tooth".

DO NOT deprive yourself. Allow yourself a reward if you have stayed w/ your diet all week or all day for that matter. SIt & eat 1 piece of chocolate, or 1/2 of the doughnut as opposed to the whole doughnut. Snack on trail mix, salty & sweet, Special K sweet cereal bars, low in calories & really good. Good luck!! Its hard I know.

I surely have some accepted savoury nutrients (Francis Bacon, egg and chips as an instance), yet love chocolate, and meringue, and thick Cornish cream, and strawberries soaked in cherry brandy!
