How much time does it take for Canadian Immigration?

I have been already called for an interview at india.. The embassy has taken my passport! Its been almost 3 weeks since then! How much time should I expect the issuance of immigration status to take???

If they have taken your passport, it shouldn't take so long, but they will contact you to get a medical.

roughly 12 month, there after in Canada about 4 years.
