You should make sure that you are eating three healthy and balanced meals a day. That means breakfast, dinner and then tea. If you skip a meal it can slow down your metabolism by 10-15%.
I used to skip meals a lot and ate usually 200-400 calories a day - and I did lose quite a lot of weight but I now realise this was not healthy at all. I felt faint and tired a lot of the time, couldn't eat normal sized meals even if I tried and basically felt crap.
As soon as I started eating normally I went back to a healthy and normal weight. Starving/ skipping meals is not good for your health long-term OR short-term at all and it may get the pounds off quick but the damage you can be doing to your body can be irreversible.
So, when dieting - make sure it's done in a healthy a safe way. A healthy weight loss should be that of 1 pound to two pounds a week.
Also, exercise is an obvious and important factor in losing weight. I have been doing 30 crunches for one week now and have steadily increased it to 60. Since Friday - just by eating normally (and this includes a treat every now and again... :D) and doing these 'sit-ups' I have lost 4 lbs...and that's in just about three days.
You don't need to go crazy or fanatical about exercising - just a light walk for about 30 minutes will do - or even a complete house cleaning session burns off the cals quick.
Some people have a naturally fast metabolism and you might too - just because you've had kids does not necessarily mean you won't lose the weight fast! Just stick to it - remember what your aim is - if not to be slimmer - to be healthier :)
Good luck with all x :)

Hi,
The best way to lose weight is practicing cardion in the morning on empty stomach. It is easy and does not require a lot of effort.
Do it for 25-30 minutes and then you can eat.
Also eat 5-6 times per day. It will increase your metabolism which will result in low fat deposit.
And the last but not the least is to keep the regularity.
Good luck!

Slowly and very deliberately! I pulled down from 13' 7" in January to 12' 10" in July and it was not easy. I'm 62, male and 6'0" tall.
The eventual break-through came when I got a bike with an accurate trip meter and did 4 miles a day every day! It was hell cutting down on the AMOUNT of food I was eating, even though it was not excessive to begin with. You will have to do that. I found the advice of the F2 diet book helpful.

Pls go to a nutritionist and a dietician before going into a vigorous diet regime.
Take care of the body and it will take care of U!!
You can start to walk and/or jogg for 15-30 min in the morning.
It'll burn the fats around your hips and lower abdomen. If u can, do crunches to make those 8 pack appear. Usually 10x3reps would suffice.
That'll do as you arent into weights....

Hi buddy
I lost 35 lbs in 2 months. This is my formulae.
1) Control eating habits.
Take low fat diets such as using skim milk, salads, fish (such as salmon), and stay away from eating red meat and junk food such as pastries (specially pizza and doughnuts). Also stay away from sugar.
Eat five vegetables and five fruits per day. Use margarine such a Becel, and stay away from cheese. Eat lots of nuts which gives your Omega-3 fats (such as walnuts) and stay away from pistachio, macadamia and cashew. Use soya proteins and soya milk where ever possible.
Don't eat meat...specially pork and beef. Try substituting them with vegetable products like veggieburgers etc.
2) Exercises:
Start exercising regularly. I walked on the tread-mill for 30 minutes daily and did normal stretching exercises and cycled for another 30 minutes. You can do some light lifting (weights) if you are comfortable.
Results: Reduced my waist size by 3inches, weight by 35lbs in 2 months.

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !
P.S
Regular active exercise is advised with all weight loosing medicines and remedies :-) Take care

Exercise for 20 to 30 minutes every day or every other day, and eat plenty of healthy foods like fruits and veggies to keep your metabolism going. Drink lots of water, eat foods high in protein, not fat. But don't cut out junk foods completely, b/c as soon as you start eating them again, you'll most likely begin to gain weight b/c your body isn't used to consuming them.

I'm so sorry for the idiots posting on your question.
The theory behind losing weight is to burn more then you are consuming. 1 pound of fat is equal to about 3500 calories.
1. DIET- the most important thing is to not starve yourself but not binge, When you eat, eat smaller meals and spread them out over the day. I am currently 210 at roughly 10% bf. I eat around 6-10 meals a day and the reason you are suposed to eat so often is to avoid having your metabolism shut down. When you eat smaller meals your body can burn everything faster and you are actually burning more cals this way. I'm not saying eat a few burgers every other hour but how about a bag of carrots, some crackers with cheese, soem fruit, etc. etc.
2. Train- if you are trianing your body to be at a certain level then go for it. Set some goals and acheive them the most important thing is to not set goals like, "I want to look like Jenna JAmeson" bc 99.999% of women don't look like that and honestly ITS NOT REAL!!!!!. Get in the gym, do cardio 3-5 days a week, low intensity will burn more fat and high intensity will burn both muscle and fat. I personally because I am trying to maintain as much muscle as possibly I do a slow job/ fast walk. IT doesn't matter what you do just doing it for no less then 20 mintues after you start to sweat and don't expect to run a 10k after a week, two weeks and/or a few months. Also, lift weight because your muscles aren't going to tighten up on their own.
FYI- your body weight isn't a measurement of how good you look. My gf is about 140 and she's 5'6" and HARD. beautiful! Anyhow, sorry back to what I am saying.
3. Consistancy- keep it up monitor your progress not others, keep your eye's on the prize and GET it.
I started at about 150lbs at roughly 15% bf which is ave for a guy but I wanted to be HUGE bodybuilder status, now I am 210 at 10%.
