What I mean is, I am a working mom and sometimes I feel like people think that I am a bad person because I don't stay at home with my kids all day. Don't get me wrong, I would love to be able to do that, and I give stay at home moms all the credit in the world, I think they have the hardest job out there. The problem is that some families (like mine) require two incomes to keep us going. I still spend as much time with my kids as I can, and they are happy, well adjusted, and taken care of. So why do I feel guilty for having to work?

Dont listen to what people say. It makes you a Super MOM to know that you have to go out there bust your a$$ because you know that your children have needs that cannot be met by your spouse alone... Girl More power to you. Im a single mother and I know it's hard... will it make you a better mom to sit at home with your kids in nasty clothes old shoes and no food. NO keep up the good work

I know there are people out there like that, but I also think that there are just as many who feel the same way about stay at home moms as thye do about you working. We can never please anyone. And as long as you are spending time with your children and putting a roof over their head they are they only ones you nned to please. Don't stress over it too much, your kids will thank you when they are older. Just be a good parent!

Do you require 2 incomes to survive or to keep up with the Joneses is the real question around that issue! And the answer to that should be obvious.

i know that many families require 2 incomes to get by and sometimes even then, they can't. a working mother has many jobs that she is required to do. you can't do it all by yourself. you need the rest of the family to help out too. it sounds like your doing a great job juggling all life's responsibilities. if the rest of the world can't see it, then their the ones with the problem.

Why are you listening to these people? It is negative energy.

If the majority of working females in the workforce are moms, what does that say?
