First, I have to try really hard to hide the display of disgust on my face at the touch of a sweaty palm. I generally wait for them to be distracted then I secretly wipe my hand on my pants and the first chance I get, I RUN to the ladies room to wash my hands!
gross!

Don't wipe in front of that person. When you sit down, pretend to smoth the back of your slacks, or adjust a jacket. Then, when everyone is dismissed, go wash if you must. I find that if the person had an unusually icky hand, I can fake up a convincing sneeze fit and excuse myself from the meeting to run to the restroom (just make sure you dont touch the icky hand to your face!!). Always carry tissues!

After shaking hands, I get to the bathroom as soon as possible for hot water & soap. UGH!

But to answer your "sweaty palms" question, I try to secretly wipe.

It depends. I keep my hands down my spandex most of the time, so they're a little moist and stinky. When people shake my hand, they sometimes make a weird face and I can see them smelling their hands as they leave...I call it Tuna Hand!

If I know they'll have sweaty hands, then I start thinking of some hot guy and really get the factory kickn and get them worse than they get me! I call that the Tuna suprise!

The only problem is that cats always follow me around.

Chances are that whoever you shook with knows that he or she has sweaty palms. Without being too indiscrete, there is nothing wrong with subtly wiping your hands with your handkerchief or a tissue.

I like to keep a small bottle of Purell in my pocket. After such an encounter I am careful not to touch my face until I can either get to a bathroom to wash my hands, or, if that's not possible, I use the Purell.

Put your han on your hip in a conversational manner, while secretly wiping your hand as you remove it from your hip.
