Well.... I prefer not to sit on any other toilet but mine.... Normally I wait till I get home, but if I really have to go I go.... I just don't sit down... I squat...
There are a lot of really nasty people out there... So when I have to go I go but I "big time" wash after-wards... I also don't flush the toilette with my hand.... I use my foot...
In some public restrooms I have seen signs telling you the proper way to wash your hands...
They say you need to wash for 20 minuets, then use the paper towel to turn off the water and open the door...
After I wash my hands... I use papertowels to turn the water off and to open the door.
So yeah.... I am scared to use other toilets.
And if the restroom is really icky I wait till I get home.

There is a lot of speculation going around that a person can get std's and other nasty diseases from sitting on a toilet seat.
In my microbiology class our teacher explained that this is highly unlikely, and the only thing you can get from an unclean toilet seat are those little pimples you get on your butt from where the seat touches the back of your leg. You can not get std's from just sitting on the toilet seat.
Now...if you were to try to ride or grind on the toilet seat.....ewww, that's another matter!
But because you HOPEFULLY aren't doing that (!), you should be okay with sitting on the toilet seat.
If you are squeamish, just make a little cover out of toilet tissue paper or use the provided cover.
I personally use the facilities if I have to pee; I don't hold it, cause that can cause even more problems (bladder infections, etc.) In public I use the covers or make a cover out of toilet paper.

I don't sit on public toilets. The 'stand over and squat a bit' method works just fine for me and keeps the ickies away!
I also won't tough the door handle to leave after washing with my bare hand. I have to use a papertowl, a big wad of toilet paper, or I dawdle until somebody else opens it and I slip through.

I go on other people toliets, Most my friends are clean so it doesn't bother me.From the way you spelled toilette I'm guessing you are from Europe. When I was in Europe most the toliets had no seats, so I hated going anywhere.

well i have to agree since you really don't know how some one cleans them or how often. But my hubby is very sweet and understands. So he bought me the bleach cleaning wipes that i carry in my pocket. and i can wipe it down before i sit. But i only do that at some ones house in a public place for get it. I have to wait or go home too. Unless they have the paper covers. then its iffy.

I never sit on any one's toilet, not at their house, not in public, not in resturants. My mom always told us crabs jump ten feet LOL..but seriously, I don't think it is sanitary, and actually, it is being considerate to others also. So I have become quite a good aim and make sure I don't leave anything there for anyone else to sit in..lol....good luck

I won't sit on a public toilet, but if I'm at a good friends house, it doesn't bother me. I don't know why, I have never really thought about it til now.
