One of my friends, nice male, age 23, dated a girl who was 17. Her parents said wait until she was 18 and he agreed, then when she turned 18, she began to date his best friend, age 24! Then broke up with him, and is now engaged to original male's brother, age 29. The woman in question is tall, gangly, doesn't take care of her hair or skin, wears clothes that are spotted and stained, and is constantly gnawing on herself, biting or sucking her fingers. She doesn't seem to be very well read or intelligent. They are planning their wedding and the circle of friends are not planning to go. I'm just curious about other people's opinions and take on this scenario. Thanks-I know it sounds like a plot for a bad movie. Sometimes life is stranger than fiction.

This isn't my best friend. He's just a guy I know that seems very nice. I don't know any of them very well-it's the circle of friends of the original guy who don't want to go to the wedding-they are all just talking about it and I was curious about other people's take on it. I thought that guys usually didn't like to date women who formerly dated their friends and as for someone who dated your brother, totally hands off....I have been proven wrong. I don't know the girl very well, I can only give my observations. I have really tried to see something positive in her, but it is difficult with the behavior she exhibits.

Good Lord, that girl is not even near reliable for anything, much less for marriage. Garbage is too nice a word, though it could be because she is still young and immature. Still, her choices make me question her qualities if she has any.

Your best friend's best friend is a loser and a backstaber. Best friends don't date their best friends former girlfriends, specially among male best friends. Any guy who reads this who has an ounce of loyalty towards friends will understand that.

Your best friend's brother, the 29 year old guy, he is a ****. How on earth can he possibly marry a 18 year old skank who dated HIS OWN brother and his brother's best friends???

He is just setting himself up to get cheated. But maybe the sex is too good to let go...

... which leads me to her...

Yeah, she is not well read and intelligent, nor glamorous or particularly cute. But I can tell you, she knows what to do when it comes to do "it"... and I know you know what I'm talking about.

That's why your best friend, his best friend, and his brother fell for this woman.

Let this be a lesson for your friend. His best friend is a disloyal idiot who backstabbed him at the first chance to get into his former girlfriend panties. Better for him to cut him lose. Really.

As for his brother, his OLDER brother who should know better; he should question who he is. He should even begin to question what type of family or what type of social circles he is coming from.

As for you, do you really want to be best friend with someone who's having so much disgusting drama around him? Things don't happen for a reason. Crap happens around us when we chose to associate ourselves with crap.

Unless your friend happens to be an unlucky guy who got all of this for pure luck and not because of the choices of people he decides to socialize and date with, I'd suggest you run away from all that...

all of this smells of bad karma. Bad Karma I tell you.

Ciao.

hmm.. you're right, it does sound like a plot for a bad movie. it's strange how things turn out. but maybe this girl is really sweet or has some great personality trait that you are unable to see (since you haven't dated her). or maybe she's needy and depends on a man for her own happiness, so she has a way to manipulate older men. who knows, but my opinion is the situation seems odd to people who look at it from the outside. perhaps the people involved see logic in it. :-)

Your judging this girl on appearance only?..that's sad! At 18 what girl really knows what she wants out of a man..she is going to have allot more time to test them out. If the marriage lasts then good for them but it might not. They are to young in my eyes...I think its pretty sad that you wont go to the wedding because you think she gross and indecisive....shes doing something right to have all these guys after her...

I think this girl is getting married for the wrong reason. It seems as if as soon as she was 18 she was on the market for marriage. For someone to take care of her, so she didnt have to do any more than she does now... who knows.... but the bottom line is that she is out for marriage for the wrong reasons.

Whatever...she's not a mass murderer. Lots of weird people out there. If the two of them are happy together, what does it matter? This "circle of friends" don't sound like they are very good friends if they would reject her over what are essentially shallow issues. Their happiness is all that matters, and real friends will support them in that.
