Actually, if we came from such a small gene pool, humanity would be hopelessly inbred, and would have ceased to be a viable species a long time back. Which is patently not the case, except perhaps in some small Midwestern towns.

BTW did God create any other humans apart from Adam and Eve (who, according to the questioner only had two sons, no daughters), or are we talking seriously unpleasant incest here?

Or is the story of the Garden of Eden and genesis, and the Fall actually a parable for the awakening of self-awareness, and not literally true...?

You decide...

Cain and Able weren't Adam & Eve's only children, they were just specifically mentioned because they were the victim and perpetrator of the first murder. They married relatives, sisters, neices, grand neices, whatever, which explains why humanity is so messed up. Adam and Eve had many children, they had a lot of years to be making them. For all we know, Abel could have been married and had 20 kids when Cain killed him.

Genesis 5:
3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. 4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5 Altogether, Adam lived 930 years, and then he died.

what's that remember? They have been divine and suitable. No, use an occasion much extra not likely. Noah's Ark. Noah and his family populated our worldwide. They have been the only human beings left after the flood. in comparison to Adam and Eve, Noah grew to become into not created as a suitable divine human. So he's subject to the same genetic issues we could be if we in basic terms had our daughters to reproduce with. it is not even addressing the full animal crap. How did the only 2 rabbits left not get eaten by ability of the only 2 wolves? What did the final 2 of each and every frequently meat eating predator eat? for further relaxing, enhance dinosaurs. in the event that they weren't on the Ark then they never exsisted. needless to say they have been genuine. or in basic terms ask how something in the sea is alive immediately. For God killed each and every creature in the sea too.

Nope. Creationism is a load of b0110ck5. And we evolved from a common ancestor with the other apes. We are apes, just bloody good ones. I might argue that such a brilliant thing as evolution could be designed by a higher being. I hope so.

Permission to rant? And what annoys me is people who try and sabotage real science with religious story-telling. Keep the church out of the science class!. Reg Vardy.. hands off our schools in the northeast!

If you read Genesis, chapter 5, verse 2; He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them mankind in the day they were created.
chapter 4 verse 16:17; then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch.

And Nowhere does it say that Adam and Eve had any other children beside Cain and Abel.

The problem is, if this was the first human family, then where did Cane and Abel's wives come from?

The gene pool was perfect, absolutely no mutations.
How does the presence of four people explain evolution? You can not connect this.

I believe the old testament is a bunch of fairy stories that were made up to teach people what was right and wrong.

I do not believe in creationism

Hell, I may be wrong but its what I believe.
