Also I still dont understand something...are cats afraid of the dark? I have 2 6wk old kittens, male(orange and white tabby) and female(mostly black calico w/ white underneath and all paws tipped white) Everytime they are sleeping and the light goes out and I go to my bed in my room they freak out and start meowing until the light goes back on or until they locate my bed and jump in it...ALSO I still havent named them..I want like a duo name since they are brother and sister but have no clue what yet...both of them are EXTREMELY playful and the tabby is very adventurous and the calico just follows her brother lol any help is appreciated thanks ;-)

There are flea drops for kittens under 8 weeks. Be sure to ask the vet, as not all flea drops are appropriate for kittens that are only 6 weeks old.

Names that match could be Lucy and Ricky, Fred and Ethel, Skittles and Snickers. Mine are named Ally and Arliss.

Carry your kittens to bed with you. They might feel they are being abandoned. Kitties "talk", and are able to adhere to our schedules. They are crying for you not to leave them, as they know you are doing when you turn off the light and going to bed.

You can answer your kittens' language. I initially speak back to mine in the language they speak to me. You can imitate their sounds and voice pitch. They eventually learn my language and we can "talk" to each other. They will learn the inflection in your voice and respond to you with the same inflections in their meows. Your kittens can learn simple words like, "Hungry?", "Cat Food", "Time to go to bed," "Water", "Thirsty?", etc.

They're very smart and catch on very quickly. They retain what they learn from us, and are eager to be good companions. They change from day to day, even the way they play and the toys they are interested in. Keeping your kitten occupied and entertained can be a challenge to keep your mind healthy, too!

flea collars don't work, flea baths work a little bit but only the flea medication you get from a vet or an online store actually works, 6 weeks i believe is old enough for advantage, and they should be ready for their first shots so you should already be going to the vet you can ask about treating them there.
It is wierd for kittens to be afraid of the dark but they might have had some bad experiences in their short little lives. I think it will probably just take time and they'll get useto the dark, and even relize that they can see pretty well in the dark.
As for names I don't know I like to name animals based on their personality. You could go with names like Hip and Hop, Skip and Pip, Andy and Sandi (I like the i at the end). I'm sure you can come up with something, that you like and that fits them.

Don't buy any over the counter flea medication, this includes flea collars. Cats are highly sensitive to the toxin used to kill the fleas and because you have kittens this could mean death due to their small size. It would be best to check with your Veterinarian. Most flea and tick medications are for puppies and kittens 7/8 weeks of age and older. I am not quite sure about the "afraid of the dark" but they may just not be able to see right in the dark. You can ask your vet about that too, she/he may have a better answer. Don't forget to get them spayed and neutered by 6 months. Good Luck, they sound cute!

bathe them in water doused with vinegar and a squirt of baby shampoo, start with their head face and ears with a washcloth cuz thats where they run when you bathe them, this works great, um you can name them bonnie and clyde or cinnamin and spice or something of the sort. they cry because they're still babies and want to feel secure so they probably want to be with you ''mommy'' all the time especially at night when they get lonely
