Went to Moscow for 8 days and had a blast... Gosee the Gum, Red Aquare, the Kremlin, Stalin's Tomb, and the Underground... For fun, go to the Boar's Head...

Well, definitely visit places in Moscow, including the Bolshoi Theater, Museums, walk around, like in Red Square and some parks.
Visit St. Petersburg! Take your time in Hermitage and enjoy the white nights! Take a cruise in the city channels and in the Baltic sea, if you have the time!
If possible, go to some other places, not so much advertised and progressed!

If you are staying in hotels, take one of those universal size plugs as the many of the baths and hand basins do not have plugs. If taking a long train journey (trans siberia express type journey) take your own toilet paper.
