Aw, you're so sweet. Thank you.
Seriously, I would think that you liked me a whole bunch and for more than just a friend.

It depends what the earrings were and stuff. I wouldn't want him to feel that he had to get me anything because sometimes monetary values in a relationship really screw it up and put a "price" on it. I'd rather want somethign thoughtful behind the earrings. If they were extremely expensive ($500 for instance) and he felt compelled to get them for me, I'd be great with it but I'd rather have then engraved wiht something meaningful etc that made the gift special rather than something expensive.
But to me it'd just be a gift. If I liked earrings, and I do and he got me a pair that went along with the style of earrings I liked, it'd be really thoughtful because it'd be nice to know that the gift wasn't just a gift but something that meant something cause he noticed my earrings when he didn't have to.
I don't like overanalyzing gifts, it screws stuff up as well. Whatever I got, I'd be happy with (cause he was nice {not that he had to} enough to get me something no matter what) unless it was condoms or something and even then, looking on the bright side, maybe he was worried I might get raped and wanted me to be safe, who knows? If I really didn't know why he got it, I'd ask him why, e.g. how come you got me earrings? my ears aren't pierced or are these clip ons? etc.
Everybody's different.

Depends on what the earrings looked like and how much he got them for.......If he found them on the floor and wrapped them in foil ummm that would mean he doesn't care.If he had the heart to find a pair of earrings i'd love, and pay a reasonable amount of money for them(not over the top but still good enough to show he cares)and even if they're not that great looking its the thought that counts.

Actually, I've only been given earrings as a b'day gift once...I was 16 and my b/f at the time's mom picked them out for me. He cheated on me two days later with my (what I thought) good friend. Usually jewelry of any kind is thought of as something kind of serious by MOST (not all) girls/women. You have to know what she thinks of your relationship and go from there.

Yes, it would symbolize that the guy was thinking about me and bought me a gift. That would be sweet, especially if he related it to me somehow (ex. my fave colour, something that I had wanted for a while, special membory)

i would think he is a really sweet guy, i would take the hint and acknowledge the fact that he likes me! but, if u really want to make a statement and express ur feelings, i would find out her favorite flowers and get her a dozen! GOOD LUCK!

To me it means that he cares for me and had to be thinking of me to go out and buy me earrings. You know it really doesn't matter what he buys its the thought that counts.

A very nice gesture, but it also depends an what kind of relationship you currently have with her?? If its not something remotely serious i would think about it. It also depends on the girl too. I hope this helped.

Since my ears aren't pierced, earrings would just sit in a drawer.
