that sounds somewhat difficult, can you drill and bolt?

I'd agree with JefferyS, but unless there is a force pulling the slab away from the beam, I'd skip the epoxy. With a beam almost 18 inches square, you should be able to drill some 6 inch deep holes just big enough for some #5 rebar.

Surface bonding agents can help, but generally you want the slab to be able to move without the beam, and vice versa. They will expand and contract at different rates, so applying a bonding agent isn't likely to hold the two together.

I would drill into the ground beam and epoxy some rebar into it for the slab. Then, when you make the pour, I'd apply a bonding agent to the ground beam.

Drive some concrete nails into the side of existing slab. Don't be skimpy on the nails.

Be sure to wet down.
