Because I'm in a very committed relatioship, and I love that feeling of closeness between me and my significant other. I feel it's a special, beautiful thing, that I'm the only one my boyfriend has slept with and he's the only one that I've slept with. That's my main reason, and of course among other reasons, it is very much fun and very exciting...and very pleasureable. I would never do it with someone I hardly knew, and I hope to be with my boyfriend the rest of my life, because he's the only one I really want to have sex with, I can't imagine doing it with anyone else, and I really don't want to. I better be in love with the person to share that emotional connection - cause it makes it worthwhile if you can connect on a multitude of levels - physical, emotional, etc. That's to me, what makes it worth it and why I'd wanna.

I would like to say love. But most people have sex for lustful reasons. i.e. physical attraction. I think if you are going to have sex you need to have sex with someone that you love and care for.
