What did your MSN Hotmail tell you when you went in there?
Do you have a Hotmail account?

Do this, from the taskbar go to 'Start' and then 'Run'. Type in 'regedit' (stands for Registry Edit) , and click on 'OK'. The 'Registry Editor' will launch and in the expandable menus that are available to you on the left hand side click on 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE' and then on 'SOFTWARE' and then 'Microsoft' then 'Windows' followed by 'CurrentVersion' and finally 'UnreadMail'. Then create a new DWORD word called 'MessageExpiryDays' from 'New -> DWORD' in the right hand side panel. Double click on this word you just created and set its value to 0 (if not already set to 0). This will get the job done. Although I will mention that this affects all the user accounts for that machine, and if you'd like to affect only one users account then the path you followed in the beginning instead of going to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE' go to 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER' instead, and follow the same procedure. It might seem a bit complicated but it's really not, almost everything is provided to you by the OS.
