I'm getting highlights next week but I'm not sure what color(s) I shoud get. (I have really dark brown hair)

Since my hair is so dark I want to stay away from getting blonde highlights.

Honey blonde would be pretty. I guess you could do dark blonde if you really want to or blue.

Get some light brown highlights. I personally think that blonde highlights in dark brown hair look really good, but if you don't like it I would say either light brown, or burgandy would look nice. Depends on your skin tone.

I would say different shades of brown like when hair get's highlighted naturally in the sun because that way it'll look really natural and great (not fake like some people's I know because they got the wrong colour and it's like orange! ew!). so go for that kind of colour. Maybe get some lowlights too. And ask the hairdresser, most hairdressers will chatter on about anything so it may as well be about hair. Ask her for tips and that, you should get some great advice! go with some lighter shades of brown and maybe some red/auburn, that looks great on dark hair

I agree, either light brown or my favorite, reddish auburn. That really looks nice if you have blue or green eyes. The light brown would go nice with brown eyes.

either platinum blonde or or avery light blonde. my hair is very dark brown and that is what i do. been doing it for years. or since you dont want blonde, try a auburn or plum

A deep red/auburn type color would be good, or be drastic and go the other way with blonde.
