Sorry, but it really is not possible. You can try one of the juice only diets that claim you can lose 10 lbs in 3 days - maybe you can do it twice. If it's that important to you, maybe you should have tried to lose weight before it became necessary to lose 16 lbs in one week.

This will take you about two weeks, but try it. It will work

Losing 16 lbs in 2 weeks can be accomplished by following a safe, effective, and nutritious diet. A weight loss rate of 1 pound per week is perfect for experiencing lasting, healthy weight loss. Make sure you ask your doctor if this plan is the right one for you so it will be healthy and effective. Good luck!

-Restrict calories moderately, starting with 200 less calories a day.

-Gradually increase your calorie restriction until at the end of the 5 weeks you are eating 500 calories less per day than you used to.
Eat a balanced diet every day. Include 1 lean source of protein, 1 serving of complex carbohydrates, and 2-3 servings of vegetables and fruit at each meal. It is suggested that you get your daily percentage of calories in the following portions: 40% protein, 40% carbohydrates, 20% fat.

-Eat 5-6 small meals per day, spaced about 2-3 hours apart. If you eat before you get hungry, you don't need to eat much. If you wait until you feel hungry, you will eat far more than you need to. Now, we know this is really inconvienent for anybody who actually goes to school or has a job so just make sure you eat small but adequate portions whenever you eat and have a healthy lifestyle.

-Exercise by walking 30-45 minutes everyday. Do not use ankle weights as this is the leading cause of orthopedic injury. Walk up hills or on inclines as your conditioning improves. You can jog for 20-30 minutes a day for those who have less time.

-Resist food cravings by brushing your teeth when you feel hungry. Pamela Anderson uses this method. Food cravings are often strong in the late afternoon, and if brushing your teeth fails you should eat one of your meals during this time. Remember, when you get cravings, you are burning fat so sip some water or have a light, low cal snack (fruits and veggies are great)!

Try Atkins: induction diet for two weeks. I saw a dramatically result from it. The key is drinking a lot of water and taking multi-vitamins with no iron while you are on it. There are plently of food listing to eat healthier during the induction on www.atkins.com. It is much better than a diet pill!!!

You don't need to eat red meat, eggs, or butter every single day. You could pouch egg in water for breakfast, have a chicken salad for lunch and then at dinner, have some baked lemon fish fillet with spinach. These are healthy!

Lastly, be sure to exercise while you are on it as well.

I've never heard of anyone losing weight that fast, but that doesn't mean it is impossible. Exercise, lots of water, and a strong multivitamin for nutritional support may be able to help you. Sixteen pounds in a week might be shooting bit high.

Sorry, you won't lose 16 pounds in a week. The quickest, most rapid method to losing fat is only obtained through a steroid known as DNP, but even then, the average loss is only 7 pounds...

yes it's impossible, and you should have thought about this sooner... seriously, if you have an event or a party or a date & you want to look nice, then you should have realized "gee, I'm getting a little chubby, my clothes don't fit" a few months ago.
sorry to sound harsh, but it's the truth.
nobody can lose 16 pounds in one week.
you can lose maybe 5 or 6.
you can dress to look thinner.
work out, and lose it & keep it off & then don't worry about it anymore.

Totally impossible, don't even try it, the amount you want to lose given the time you want to lose it would put you in serious medical danger. Even at the most extreme (starving yourself) you would only lose 5 pounds and that would mostly be water weight. I know you don't want to hear it but physiologically speaking your body isn't capable of doing this please don't try it.

it's not possible. Plainly and simply. At MOST, under the BEST conditions, you may be able to lose 10 pounds. It will be water weight. 16 pounds in one week is NOT feasible. *shrugs* You will do nothing besides make yourself sick, and probably end up in the hospital for dehydration.

Ok, if you run 5 miles, eat about 800 calories and drink 2 gallons of water a day you MIGHT lose it.

Well hunny.. if you're trying to lose 16 lbs in a week for someone.. it's not worth it. They should love you for you not what you look like. Cuz girl.. I've been there and done all that. I guess if you really really want it.. then work out and drink tons of water. you'll probably end up getting sick and be very sore. but yea.. i dunno. Just don't hurt yourself. good luck
