Can I use my espresso machine to make a regular cup of coffee?

I'd like to use a packet of coffee in a pod adapter instead of tamping ground coffee. Thanks.

It will probably come out a little on the strong side since espresso is more concentrated than coffee. I would recommend making the espresso and then adding water to it. You will be making an Americano.

Why would you want to? They do make coffee machines.
