Mohammad was neither a pedaphile nor warmonger. That 9 year old girl never became his wife until she matured into womanhood. She was promised t oMohammad by his close friend Abu Bakr when she was 9, but they did not marry until she was grown.

The only war Mohammad fought was against attacking Jews who despised his message. They attacked first, he defended himself and won. Instead of killing the vanquished, he urged them to move to another city, and to leave Medina to the Muslims. They complied and stayed alive.

Correction!!

Yes what you say about Aisha is true but you have the fighting part wrong.

Muhammad (pbuh) did not fight the Jews he fought the pagan worshipers in Mekkah. At the time the people of Arabia were mainly pagan and would bring their idols to the Kaaba to be worshiped. The ruling clans in Mekkah did not like Muhammad telling the people of one God so they would tortured and harass the Muslim. Finally the Jew of Media asked for Muhammad (pbuh) to come to their city and run things there.

The people of Mekkah did not like this and would attach the Muslims of Medina there were 3 main wars. All of which the Muslims were out numbered.

The Battle of Badr fought was a key battle in the early days of Islam and a turning point in Muhammad's (pbuh) struggle with the Mekkan Quraish.

The Battle of Uhud was fought between a small Muslim force and a force from Mekkah. Uhud is near Medina. The Muslims had the worst of the encounter and retired after having lost some seventy-five men. However, the Mekkans did not pursue the Muslims into Medina, but marched back to Mekkah.

The Battle of the Trench was an attack by the city of Mekkah on the city Medina in 627. The name "Battle of the Trench" comes from the fact that the Muslims dug a trench north of Medina to protect the city (Medina was naturally fortified on all other fronts). Although Mekkah fielded a larger army it was not unable to overcome the defenses.

Finally the people of Mekkah and Medina would have a truce and the Muslims that wanted to were able to return home.

But the Muslims Christains and Jews lived in peace!

For one I'm open to discussion. Two throughout all of history Islam has never had unbloodied borders weather with each other or with another religion. Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the last Day…. Contrary to this marriage being important for political reasons, Abu Bakr was the first convert to Islam.

Assuming you understand English, you will know what consumate means in the sentence "‘Aisha was 6 (or 7) years old when she was married, and the marriage was consummated when she was nine years old. al-Tabari vol.9 p.130,131". Also he was a war monger, he attacked the Quraish Caravans in Suadi Arabia, he attacked Jews and slaughtered them (I provide refereces for this in my other questions) etc.

quite honestly, i'm sick of people bashing Christians, too. everyone likes to say that God in the old testament is a warmonger and un-forgiving and yet they don't really acknowledge that it was under the law and there were a lot of different requirements going on in those days. a lot of the old testament can now be an example for modern Christians who are no longer under those demanding laws.

i'm sick of intolerence in general. who ever said we all had to be the same?? i think it's crazy and so long as we're not being insane zealots by killing other people for our cause or yelling at ppl because they don't agree, then we should all just agree to disagree and freakin' get along for once.

I'm not a Muslim but I have a good Muslim friend who talks to me about his opinions. Those of you who ask why "good" Muslims don't protest "bad" Muslims. I don't see any proof they don't! Not even a statement like: I've never seen one. You just say that they don't. My friend hates Hezbollah! Because of them and Al Queada (sp) the world is getting really hateful towards Muslims. He understands why someone would feel that way, but he really hates it. He doesn't hate the people who blindly hate him, but the people who blindly ruin his religion.
