Since I've had my son 3 1/2 years ago, my metabolism is not what it was before. I have a really hard time losing weight, even though I eat really well and exercise at least 3 times a week. I feel like giving up and being chubby(ish) forever, but I know it is not healthy. Do any of you have this too? What can I do to kickstart my metabolism?

Ok, this is a man's perspective and this advice is aimed toward the husbands. Guys, be extremely supportive and positive towards your wife or significant other when it comes to their weight loss. Tell her how beautiful she looks and encourage her. The better you make her feel, the results will be good because she will keep working towards her goal knowing you are in her corner. By the way, couldn't all the guys stand to lose some pounds also? Work out with her!!

Yes, I have a hard time losing weight because I keep getting pregnant. I'm on baby #4 in 51/2 years, and can't seem to shake any kind of weight. I'm with ya- Though I'm pretty sure I'm going to do something permanant about it this time. Then I tell myself I'll try harder....... Some women it just "fall off", and they "bounce back". Not me. Glad I'm not the only one though.

I understand how you feel. I don't consider being chubby unhealthy. It depends on how much extra weight you are carrying. I am about 15 lbs. over my pre-baby weight. My doctor says it is fine. If you are exercising and eating well, I wouldn't worry too much about it (it's hard, I know). Take your son to the park, or on walks. It's good for you, and for him. good luck.

Don't pressure yourself at the idea of having the body that you had before your son was born. That will only make you more upset and start affecting every aspect of your life. Be thankful that you have a son, and if you are still able to keep up with him at his age, then trust me, you are in shape. LOL!
