No, you cannot. Any funeral expenses would be shown as a deduction on the federal estate tax return (Form 706). Any medical expenses incurred, though, could be deducted on Schedule A of the Form 1040, but you won't be able to deduct them unless they exceed 7.5% of adjusted gross income (the bottom line on page 1 of the Form 1040).
