Dogs! Fleas love them.
Seriously, our vet recommends Frontline Plus.
Now, go kill some fleas.

Okay Depending upon the age of the dog (if its a puppy dont use a flea collar but if its a few months old go ahead). Second I recommend a doggy shampoo for fleas and ticks -you can get this at any store usually-Make sure its tear free!
Any other questions- like if you have a bad case of fleas I recommend you talk to your vet. Plus might I recommend a good dog food that any vet would approve of? Its iams, it will keep your dogs coat shiney and soft to! As well as their teeth in good shape(dont forget to get a doggy toothbrush/specially formulated doggy toothpast-found at your local petstore.

Bathe regularly with flea shampoo , I just use Hartz, and make sure you also spray your yard with a pesticide from walmart, target, or wherever that you can attach to your waterhose..Find one thats for a variety of bugs including fleas. Keeping your yard or area free of fleas is the best way to keep them off the dog.

I use Advantage, but Revolution works well if you are in an area where your dog may get heartworm. It protects agains all three, fleas, ticks and heartworm.

Try frontline spot-on. I have recomended it to so many people, and it's worked effectively. It just needs a spot on the neck and you will see the flees jump off in their thousands. It also saves the hastle of having to spray you dog everywhere!
