The reality is that there are very few cars on the road that use the old 2.3L Lima SOHC engine. While it is a very good engine, the only thing that it would bolt right into would be the early 80's Fairmont, Mustang and T-Bird.

If you have someone that wants to buy it (say for a Dune Buggy) and the motor and trans are in good shape I'd say $125 - $175 tops. Just because there really isn't a market for the motor anymore.

I used to have a 2.3 in a baja bug, it was an awesome combo. Eslinger engineering out of So Cal makes the kit to bolt those and the 2.0 ford to the vw tranny. They are very popular dune buggy and sandrail motors as they are capable of reaching 400 hp naturally aspirated. You should be able to sell it but 250 might be kind of steep. 150.00 is more realistic if it has low miles and runs good. Where are you, I might be interested. I wan't to build another baja in the future, 2.3 turbo this time.
