Recently my friend has been trying to hook me up with this guy. We're both shy so it's a little awkward when we first meet sometimes. I'm not sure how I should act around him 'cause if i'm too shy he might think i'm boring but if i'm too outgoing he might be turned off. What kind of traits do guys like to see in girls that they date? Should I be more outgoing and flirty or stay sweet and shy? i'm not sure how to even those traits out. What do you guys like?

I think you should be yourself. If you have chemistry, things will go forward. In a healthy relationship, both people are:
1. respectful
2. responsible
3. fun to be with
Those are the only things that you should really look for. If you are those things, then it will show when you meet. If you are not, it becomes difficult to build something.

I would be more outgoing. Because if you are as shy as you say, what you consider "being outgoing" will probably not be that intense. You guys need to have a spark, but if your both sitting there being so shy that you hardly speak, you're never going to make a connection. Every guys likes having a girl interested in him. The only way to get past his shyness is to talk to him. Once you know each other a little better, the shyness will dissipate for both of you.

Just say what you just wrote here to him. Confess that you're kind of shy, but that you will soon open up once he gets to know you better. He might be thinking that you aren't interested in him or you're bored with him and his shy ways. Shy guys are kind of paranoid about what they're doing; well it's probably the same way with you too.

be yourself...be outgoing, playful, and fun. that's all he'll need. show him that you're willing to go out and have a good time, and that he doesn't have to spend the entire date working hard to make sure that he's impressing you. if a guy feels he has to impress, then he's not going to want to go thru the effort. if, however, you are light and happy about the whole thing, he'll go to distances you've never dreamed of and will impress you all the more. just relax and have a good time...he wont disappoint.

Think you want to impress him in the first meet.It depends whether you like him or not.Just be yourself .Be natural.behave normally like how you do to your good friends.Why should you act around him on a date?Just stay sweet and shy since you are thay type.Its best to be natural.Just think him as another friend.Make him feel at ease.Relax and have a great date.

Be yourself, shy is cute. But if you like him, make it a point to stand just a little bit close to him, so that occasionally, your hands will touch, or your arm will brush his, etc. This is the first stage of intimacy, and he will know that you like being close to him. Then wait for his reaction to see if their is chemistry for him too.

Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllll I like girls who stay sweet and just be thereselves but thats my opinion. try not to be shy and still stay sweet=) guy's dont always like girls flirting with them=) but thats my opion and I hope it works out for u=)

there's no reason to be shy you're either gonna be liked or youre not.me i like a girl to have confidence.mainly,a little outgoing isn't to bad ,just don't be toooo bubbly.

don't be like anybody else... be yourself!!! don't try to be someone who is not you. just don't be shy and be more confident in yourself.
if he comes to like you, then, you got him because you're you! but if not, well, i believe it is even better... you got rid of an asshle!!!
i would prefer a woman who is confident and a bit assertive.
