I don't know if it is possible but I have the symptoms of both headache. I have a history of Sinus headache too. Let me describe you my symptoms. My eyes burn a bit, headache is only at my fronthalf and lower back of my head. I feel like I am about to sneeze all the time, when I do so, it feels better. I used to have problem sleeping.(till last week) I started having this after falling in depression.(not in depression anymore) physical activity aggravates it if I do it during my headaches. If I read something, or use my mind, it increases it. If I continue doing it, a lot of people started yelling in my ear, and I start imagining picture w/ messed up lenght and width. Drinking cool stuff relieves it. Which reminds me, I have a history of heat exhaustion. It gives me a feeling of loosing and irritation. Also, watching tv and sitting on computer worsens it.

Btw, when people are yelling at me, it is in my head, not in realities.

You have expressed some of the symptoms of migraine but there are more.. Migraine is a syndrome, meaning there are many symptoms which it causes.. Those symptoms will involve some or all of the cranial nerves. These nerves are a part of the autonomic nervous system indicating there will be an imbalance of that system (sympathetic/parasympathetic). This imbalance allows for a parasympathetic over-ride, resulting in; bright lights hurting your eyes (dilated); ears (tinitis) perhaps even a burning up behind the ear on occasion; precarious balance; soreness to pain in the scalp and sinus area of the face (above and below the eyes); perhaps difficulty in swallowing or smell distortion; on and on, to include stomach and intestinal distress.

Bear in mind, if the pupils are dilated, so are the blood vessels. Another consideration would be the restriction of the head rotation on one side or even both sides. The base of the skull will be found to be exceedingly sensitive to pressure. There may even be a restriction of deep inspiration (deep breath).

This condition and its causation does not respond to medical treatment. It is treated strictly on a symptomatic basis.. the causative factor does not respond nor get treated. For some reason 64% of the population is looking to alternative care. When we consider that the US is listed #27, relative to medical care among the industrialized countries, would this perhaps be part of the answer.

I will discuss this further, with anyone wanting to contact me.

It is indeed possible to have a tension headache and a migraine at the same time, and sometimes it's difficult if not impossible to untangle which is which.

One thing you might want to do is learn how to relax the muscles in your head. Yes, they really do exist! That's what you use to scrunch your eyebrows and so on.

Since heat triggers headaches (it does for me too), try lowering your thermostat, or keeping a wet cloth of some sort in the freezer for when you feel a heat headache coming on.

Allow your eyes to rest once in a while away from the screen. And get them checked: Sometimes people who have eye problems will experience headaches.

Learn how to massage your head, or get someone to massage your neck and head- especially around the ears and between the eyes. That will go a long way toward relaxing you so the pain isn't so bad, if there at all.

I can't offer much advise about the people who seem to want to yell at you- outside of somehow removing them from your environment, or removing yourself from them.

Good luck!
