Anyone have any new chicken or steak recipes? I'm getting tired of making the same thing all the time.

Japnese Steak

Ingredients
2 zucchinis
4 small red or brown onions
1 red capsicum
125 g/41⁄2 oz snow peas
125 g/41⁄2 oz baby corn
vegetable oil, for deep-frying
125 g/41⁄2 oz cornflour
75 g/3 oz plain flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon mustard powder
2 teaspoons semolina
1 teaspoon salt

1. In a shallow dish, mix together soy sauce and sherry. Add steaks and turn until well coated. Marinate for 10 minutes. Remove steaks. Pat dry on paper towel. Reserve marinade.

2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok. Fry steaks over a high heat for 2 minutes on each side, or until well browned. Add ginger and sugar to marinade. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add to pan or wok. Cook for a further 5–6 minutes for medium steaks.

Remove steaks using a slotted spoon. Cut into thin slices. Arrange on serving plates. Garnish with spring onions and carrot. Serve with sauce.

In step 2, adjust the cooking time for the steaks according to your taste. Cook for 3–4 minutes for rare, 5–6 minutes for medium and 10 minutes for well done.

You can replace the sherry with sweet dessert wine or Japanese rice wine. For a non-alcoholic alternative, use grape or apple juice to make the marinade.

Great chicken recipe I got from my butcher:

Skillet Roasted Chicken

Preheat Oven to 400 degrees

6 Whole Chicken Legs
3 medium onions, sliced
2-4 cloves garlic
4 teaspoons fresh rosemary
handful cherry tomatoes
salt & pepper, olive oil.

Saute onions and garlic in a cast iron skillet until lim. Add rosemary and tomatoes.
Season chicken with salt and pepper. Layer chicken over onions skin-side-up.
Bake 1 hour.
Serve with rice! Or noodles! Or even better, polenta!

Marinated London Broil (It's a great cut and can often be found on sale for $1.99 pound)
In gallon ziploc bag, mix:
1/4 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup balsamic or red wine vinegar, 4-5 TB soy sauce, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1/2-1 tsp cracked black pepper, chopped candied ginger (can omit)
Add London Broil (about 2 pounds), zip up and shake around. Let marinate in fridge 1 hour or more (can leave overnight).
Great cooked on the grill, or heat a large oven proof skillet over medium high heat and add 1 TB olive oil. Pat London Broil dry with paper towel and add to skillet - sear for 4 minutes then turn for another 4 minutes. Put in preheated 350 degree oven until cooked to desired doneness - I cook it for 10-15 minutes depending on thickness for medium to medium-rare.
Slice thin (1/4 inch slices) against the grain for a very tender steak. A 2 pounder will serve 6-8 easily. BTW, leftovers make a great sandwich.

Go get the lemon squeezer thing. You know the lemon juice in the plastic lemon bottle that are like 99 cents. Marinade the chicken with onion, lemon, olive oil and garlic. Then, make the chicken and when you are done put shredded cheese on top and microwave for a few seconds. Then add some FINE salsa, really nice salsa, just a tad.

Very delicious.

I agree with the recipe search, on allrecipes.com or google search for recipe websites. I usually use the George Foreman Grill and dress up with different spices and seasonings or if I bake roll in seasoned cracker crumbs, then bake in oven and and comes out just like fried only less fattening. Don't cook steak that often but when I do it's usually fajitas like or grilled.

Take about 4 chicken breast and put them in a baking pan and cover them with cream of mushroom or chicken soup. Bake in the oven @425 until done. Make 3 cups of rice and chop chicken up into cubes and drop chicken and left over soup from the pan into the rice and mix. Mmmm...easy chicken and rice.
