I've had a crush on this guy at my church for nearly a year now. He and I don't really talk, (we don't really know one another too well) just "Hi" and "bye" if we happen to cross each other's paths. From what I have observed, he's very friendly and talks to lots of people (at church)- except me, of course. In the past few months, my friends and i have caught him sneaking glances at me quite a few times. Sometimes he wouldn't even try to hide the fact that he was gazing in my direction. Other when I was not present with my friends and he would see them, he would act like he was looking for someone amongst them. One time when I passed him he gave me a playful shove. Another time I was holding a paper in my hand and as he passed me, he snatched the paper from me playfully (and gave it back, of course.) Understand, this guy is 26 and I'm 24. Is he acting this way because he likes me and is afraid to talk to me?

Let me add that I am a pretty extroverted person myself and can start a conversation with almost anyone about anything - except for this guy. Whenever I see him or I am near him my mind becomes a complete blank - I can't think of a single thing to say. It's driving me crazy because I've been smitten with this guyand checking him out for a year and we've never even had a normal conversation.

Well from what you are explaining it sounds like hes flirting. Step it up a notch. Don't just stand there flirt back if hes playful with you then if you see him holding something snatch it and give it back. He will know you repeating what he does. He totally is into you. First thing you need to do is go up to him and talk. You cant have a relationship with someone you don't even know. So get to know him but instead of just his and byes mayb throw in a few more words. Ask him some questions. And most importantly don't be too clingy. Guys don't fidn that too cute. But Flirt a lot . Good Luck!

my guess would be that he likes you and is interested in getting to know you. sounds like he's very shy though. try just saying hi or good bye when you see him. he'll start to relax some and maybe become comfortable enough to ask you out. good luck.
