None of our friends or family have mentioned anything to my wife about throwing a baby shower for her. She is about 6 months pregnant, are we just thinking to early or are we okay thinking something is wrong? Friends and familes always throw baby/bridal showers for everyone prior to us?

I believe its between a month to two weeks before the due date. And if it's a surprise baby shower they won't tell you. Be paitent.

Traditionally friends, not family gives the shower. About a month before the due date is normal. I am assuming that this is your first child. Baby showers are rare for the second child.

Too early. Are you going to test for sex? If so, get that information, spread it around, and the plans will begin. I used to work in an office where they waited for the baby to be born first; too many premature deaths. Also, have you casually made it KNOWN you WANT showers? If pays to advertise.

I though most were between 7 and 8 months- it gives the parents time to find out the sex with ultrasound, if they wanted to know...

Ours was pre-empted by her being born early, so it was not as "exciting" as it s\could have been- other than we knew the sex for sure...
