I am assuming that your husband is still in the United States. If so, he is eligible for adjustment of status in the United Status, which means, he won't have to leave the US. You'll need to complete a series of forms: I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, I-864, and G-325. In addition you'll need to provide all supporting evidence including sending in the medical exam.
If you have additional questions, let me know.. :)

By careful. When my British wife and I filled out all the paperwork, the US consulate stated that she had to do it all from her home country and couldn't come to the US until it was done (while it was being processed). Now, that may have been because of her particular visa status and you may not have a problem... but it's worth a call to the consulate. Good luck!

You have a couple of choices: you can petition for him and have him get his immigrant visa in Belgium (this takes a while but works very well) or you can try to adjust his status to CR1 (which lets you stay together in the US but I promise will drive you nuts because he'll be skating on the edge of being illegal for a long, long time.
Here is the way it works:

LIE.
But both of you go to your local police department. They can tell you what venues to start with. They're pretty well rehearsed in helping people with the law.
