No. If I don't like him and he doesn't like me, why should I try to impress him?
I think that smacks of a lack of self confidence. Do you really NEED to be needed by someone you don't like because he doesn't like you? That's sad.

Oh yes! I would go as far as making sure my makeup was perfect for when he came in and would make little comments to him and do the fake "ha ha you are soooo funny" when he made a joke, just to get him to like me. The funny thing was I'm used to the other guys around me all liking me and I wanted him to also, because I love to be the center of attention. I guess I have to be the queen of the office and he better recognize it! Now, he thinks I like him, even though I don't. Sad really, but I feel better that I can still get men's attention. I guess I just wanted to make me feel better knowing I can do that.

I am guilty of this. I know that when my sons father tried so F*in hard to be with me and tried to impress me I kept blowing him off because I had no interest in him. Then one day all the attention stopped, so I thought that I wanted him and missed him, when in reality I just missed the attention

Yeah I did in the 10th grade. The guy's name was Michael Holmes, and his best friend John told him that I was interested he paid Michael to go out with me . I did not find that out until John told hid girlfriend Michele and she told the entire school about what happen. I knew it was too good to be true. After all this time he had finally came and asked me out. I had known Michael since like the 5th grade

No, I would only try to impress someone I had feelings for. Sometimes though, when I know someone likes me but I don't like them back, I do things that might make them like me more.

yes. i don't know why i did it though.
i wasn't interested in the guy-- but he was clearly not interested in me. it bothered me that i wasn't his "type". he was usually around women who were trendy/designer types and always knew what was the hottest thing on any list. i'm not that kinda girl- i'm more down to earth.
so, i went to a party one of his friends hosted and dressed "fly" had the hair and nails, etc etc.... then, he noticed me. i never talked to him or dated him, but we became pretty cool.
i still don't know why i wanted to impress him- when i knew that i didn't want him. i guess maybe it was just knowing that he didn't think i was good enough- that made me want to change his mind.

yup.... it is an ego thing sometimes. U have to wonder why is it that THIS guy is not interested in me. Then once you realized you have at least peeked his curiousity, the thrill is over. I don't go overboard with it. I have some morals. Don't judge.

No, why would I want to impress someone that wasn't interested, I would rather be myself- then you know that someone really likes you for you.
