I've had dogs that move their feet, and dogs that don't. My current dog loves to be scratched, but he is totally calm about it. I've tried every "magic spot" I can think of, but nothing has moved him yet. Oh, well. I love him anyway.

I have a dog that plays the drums with both feet if you hit the right spot on her tummy, but then I have another dog that doesn't, but she groans and moans when you hit a good itchy on her. It just depends on the dog. Not all dogs will play the drums with their hind paws when you hit a good itchy. Good luck.

One of my dogs is up by the ribs the other dog is across her back only. I guess every dog is different. Try other areas...or possibly your dog may be too fat and you don't hit the nerve properly. My moms dog is that way.

If you see a dog scratching or biting an area on their body, rub it and they will get really happy. (Just make sure you draw a line on where to rub).
