should ur friend be mad at you if u canceled plans b/c u found out you had to do something that day with your mom? but it was only the first time you canceled, should she be mad, or should she understand.

If she is a true friend then she should understand. But you should call her the minute you found out your mom had made plans as well. I'm sure she's just hurt because she was looking forward to what plans you both had made and was disappointed when they were put off...

A real friend will understand as long as this sort of thing doesn't become a habit. Best to check your calendar to make sure you don't have other obligations when making plans with a friend. Good luck in your friendship.

If she is really your friend then she will understand that you have to do something with your mom. I would suggest that when you tell her you mention setting up a time to reschedule, that way she knows that you're truly not just blowing her off.
