Relax, this is not something you need to know now now now now.

ADHD is not a big deal, but it is important to know if you have it, and how to treat it if necessary, and how to handle it. It can actually be an asset and many people with ADHD are highly successful in life.

A mental health professional, such as those provided by any good health insurance plan, should be able to diagnose ADHD. However, your friend probably is not paranoid, OCD, or suffering from Tourette's Syndrome. If she were, then she'd already have seen a mental health professional, and should be asking them this question.

ADHD should be treated with behavior therapy and not drugs. Especially for growing children and teenagers. Ritalin and other similar drugs have been shown to increase suicide in children and lower IQ scores. Is your friend taking anti-depressants also? Many anti-depressants ( especially those given to teens and children ) cause depression, paranoia, and obsessive compulsive disorder. I

Parents should quit medicating children and treat the underlying problems...perhaps children suffer from "Attention Deficit Disorders" because they are LACKING ATTENTION>

Tourettes... OCD... paranoia... ADHD... crazy... genius!

Hello friend. Listen if you have even one of these, you should go to a highly competent pediatric neurologist and get thoroughly tested. Do not look to Yahoo Answers for some solutions.

I wish you well! Bye.

Hi there people...

So you and your friend think she has ADHD.

There is no simple test for it. You need to go to a doctor to get the diagnosis.

What you are describing COULD be ADHD, but it might also not be.

See a doctor!

Breanne, honey?

Why don't you go out in the nice weather and play?
You'll be much happier than sitting in front of your computer.

Or... perhaps you could read a book.
Perhaps a fable?
Say... the little boy who cried wolf?

(who knows? you might even learn how to spell)

I think she needs to see a doctor. I also think you should take advantage of the "check spelling" icon when you post questions so it doesn't take us so long to figure out what you're saying. It also makes you look smarter!

I'm sorry to hear that your friend is "suffering". It's highly unlikely that she has all of those things. She needs to talk to her parents about these concerns so they can get her in to see her doctor. If she won't talk to her parents, maybe you could talk to them and explain your concerns....

Genise isn't a word...and it's Tourettes..not "torattes".
