NO man knows the hour or the day

People have been waiting for Jesus to come back since shortly after his death. The theology developed as a result that they realized that their messiah didn't do everything he was supposed to do, so the solution was to say that Jesus would come back. Paul's writings must be taken in the context that he expected Jesus to return at any minute, so that's why he said not get married and so forth. However, Paul was wrong; Jesus did not come back during his life time. Other people have spent their lives waiting for Jesus to return, and some have sold all o their belongings and given up on everything else. They have all been wrong. Every generation thinks that they are the last, but they have all been wrong in the past. Don't worry about stuff like this and make something of your life. Try and be altruistic and improve the condition of the world as it exists instead of waiting around for its destruction.

No one knows the day or the hour. He will come "like a thief in the night" and the world will be caught unaware. It's a waste of time to try and predict His return.

It says in the new testament that "The return shall be marked with the anxiety of the ages only to be awakened by the kindred spirit of time. For those who have chosen the path of righteousness the spirit of time will wait for nought"
