I think the ones you have to pay for actually are a little better, because someone who isn't really serious about finding someone can just register and mess with people through a free site. I think people who are going to pay for the site might be a little more serious, because they are actually paying! Try eHarmony...I've heard excellent things!!

I am uncertain if Findsomeone.com is still free or not. But I do know that I met my fiance on there and at the time it was fun chatting. Like other web sites there are some sicko's on there but for the most part I found it pretty reputable. Best of luck in your search for a partner.
