Go to a local amusement park and get on the roller coaster. The part before the lifthill is like the taxi. Then, once you go down the first hill, as you pull out of the drop and go up the next hill, the takeoff is like that, except it goes on for about a minute or so.
Whooosh! :-) I love it! After that, you'll hear a beep or dull ding. That's the 10,000 ft signal. Flight attendants can get up then. You'll usually climb for a few more minutes, but by then you're going pretty much a constant speed that you don't really notice the acceleration anymore.
Separate note:
I used to chew gum and have the overhead air on for takeoff. Just relaxed me and kept the cabin pressure more stable so my ears wouldn't pop. Now, I don't need the gum anymore, just the air. :-)

Have no worries. Flying is quite fun. The only shitty part is that your ears pop at high altitude. Take off is usually smooth. The plane will start out slow, navigating through the turns on the runway and then when it hits the straight away it will gradually speed up. No sudden movement is involved. Just sit back and relaz. You will be fine. It's hard to tell when you are even off of the ground. Take care, and enjoy the flight. If you are still scared, there is always a bar. :)

It depends on the aircraft you are in. In a larger aircraft, the speed during before take-off is much faster so you'll feel more pressure against the back of your seat. In a smaller aircraft, you won't feel as much force.
When the tip of the aircraft goes up, you will feel like you are in a chair that is leaning back.
If you are taking off in windy conditions, you may feel like the airplane is unstable, particularly in smaller aircraft.
The final path towards your destination may be in a different direction than the take-off direction. Therefore, the pilot will have to turn or steer the plane in the appropriate direction. The plane will usually bank in the direction of the turn. You will feel the sensation of going upward and side-ways at the same time.
If your aircraft hits an air pocket during take-off, you will have the sensation of your stomach coming up much like the feeling of passing the apex at the top of a roller coaster track.

It is a cross between being on a rollercoaster and diving into a swimming pool. You feel the vibrations under your butt, then there is the sound of the air from the vents and then the sounof the tired stops as you lift off and your ears begin to pop like when you get in the water. After that not much.

You are way safer in the airplane than you are in the car on the way to the airport. Enjoy the flight and the scenery. The takeoff puts you back in the seat from the acceleration. There are few real sensations. Your ears will pop as you gain altitude, the same as if you drove or hiked to higher elevations.

Its not so bad, I had never been on a plane until last year, where I flew 17 hours. You can feel speed pick up, and then the lift off, basically it feels like a carnival ride, it is not bad, the take offs and landings are the most worrisome, but the pilots do an excellent job.

Your first flight? Congrats! You're going to love it.
At first, it feels like a car as you travel down the runway. Then, the front goes up. Feels a little like looking up an escalator.
Soon, it levels off and you're flying. It's a lot of fun. Good luck!
Tip - Chew some gum. It will help your ears adjust.

"High Flight"
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

It feels like when you drive really fast and then go up a big hill. It's kinda noisy and you will feel and hear a couple bumps when they fold the wheels up into the belly of the airplane. You don't have to be scared. It's very safe. You should get a window seat so you can see. It will be fun.

feels like a roller coaster going up cept there's a bit more of a head rush.
it's pleasant actually... don't think about it too hard.. you'll be fine, way fine...
just close your eyes and pretend you're floating to the stars.
before all this you may want to talk to the doctor for things (medication or other...) in case you happen to get woozie and all that.. (air sickness or an equalibrium problem) but i wouldn't worry.
but preparation is best it also helps to know that you have alternatives and it really is a calming and secure feeling!
good luck.
