The one that works the best for me is to have a person lay on their stomach then I rub their back to get the person relaxed, tell them to breath in and exhale then I put gentle force with both hands (palms) on the sides of the spine while they're exhaling. If that doesn't work go to a chiropractor. Good luck!

Don't try to crack anyones back. If their back hurts, take a tennis ball and roll it over the muscles in the back. The ball will warm up from friction and your hands, and combined with the pressure from the ball, this should help alot. If someone has back pain for more than a few days, and it is severe enough they have trouble bending or turning, visit a doctor to rule out any serious bruising to the back.

Are you crazy? Don't do that! What if you hurt someone doing that? And why would you ask that question anyways? Especially to a bunch of people who chances are, aren't even doctors! If nothing else, just give someone a back massage. Please don't ever try to pop or crack anybody's body parts!

go to a chiropractor. we go to school for a minimum of 8 years to know how to do this correctly and without hurting someone. don't do it yourself, it doesn't have benefit long term and can cause possible injury if done incorrectly.
When someone turns their head/neck to the point of the "popping" sound (called a cavitation), changes occur within the joint, the problem is that it is rarely ever the segment of the spine that needs to move. When you have a segment in your spine that is not moving to its full range of motion, the segments above and below that incorrectly moving vertebrae have to compensate and move more, so that is the one that typically moves when you try to self adjust. When a chiropractor makes a contact to make an adjustment, we are contacting a specific segment that is restricted, that is what we are trained to do! there's too many risks involved when trying to do it yourself!

c) Laugh at the joke about yourself. If I cannot laugh about me, I am in serious trouble! I am the first to admit anything and everything anyone wants to throw at me! What do I have to lose? Why not laugh? It sure beats crying! Nobody is perfect! :D
