If what you say is true, get out quick.
Any church that teaches we need to confess to anyone other than jesus or someone we have sinned against is a church with a false doctrine.
If it teaches we should pray to anyone other than Jesus, it is a false doctrine. Jesus states no one comes to the father, except through me.
If a chuch has rituals to follow to lead you to christ, is a false doctrine church. The Pharisees made people do many rituals and made up rules that they said would lead them to heaven, but Jesus taught they were vipers and they were the blind leading the blind.
There are still churches today that teach a false doctrine, worship idols and mislead people.
Scientology church, Catholic church, and many other churches mislead people in there rituals and doctrine.
Yes I said Catholic Churches, I know that will raise an eyebrow, but look at what they teach and do.
I see a statue of mary every where in a Catholic church. Read the book of Matthew and you see a verse, Jesus is told his mother and brothers want to see him. But he states my mother and brothrs are here with me doing Gods will. In other words Mary had no special place, she was his biological mother, nothing else, Gods will, came first, Jesus' teachings came first, Jesus was the way the truth and the light. No mention of Mary there.
The Catholic church uses prayer beads and pray to dead saints.
Jesus gave us and example of how to pray and to whom we are to pray. No rituals or prayer beads or statues of individual or prayers to men who lived and died and who may be standing next to me in heaven worshipping God is needed. Jesus did not teach this, nor did his disciples.
Read the bible, teach the doctrine of Jesus Christ and pray to Jesus, the only one who can save you. He is our only way to God and to heaven. Anything else is a false doctrine.

I attended a Bible study like this once. I loved the people who ran it very much. But the teachings were false.
These people left our church. I have a rule for myself that I don't leave a church until I feel the cloud has moved (God wants me to leave). So I stayed and they just got worse and worse, and some of them actually got arrogant about it.
I now feel that this was a necessary pruning of our congregation, and I was right to stay.
I sense a question in your mind. Seek God's face and do what the Holy Spirit tells you. Most of the time there will be another church you can join that believes the truth and where you can feel comfortable. God bless you!

I'm a member of the Church that Christ Himself established in Matthew 16 -- the Church that He promised would withstand everything, even the very powers of hell.
Specifically, I'm a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
So, what you're describing is, for me, impossible.

You have raised an interesting question because you really have to define church. If you are a Christian can you actually leave the church? No. The church is Christians.
Now, if your body of Christians is teaching something incorrect then I do not believe you should just leave. I believe it is your responsibility to correct the teachers so that they cannot lead another person astray. Also, since you KNOW the truth you should make sure that others in the congregation know the truth. I believe all of this should be done in a biblical manner. Here is what Matthew 18 has to say about dealing with a sinning brother:
15 "Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.'* 17 And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
18 "Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
19 "Again* I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
Even more importantly is this passage from Matthew 18 about causing others to stumble.
6 "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!
8 "If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.
